I avoid hotels at all cost....
we had gotten rid of bed bugs in America, for the most part.
then we started to give carte blanche to the middle east for immigration. Bingo...they brought their lice with them.
Disgusting.
As retireds, we travel around a bit and always use KOA's Kamping Kabins. They cost almost as much as a motel/hotel but you sleep on your own bedding, are not bothered by 2 a.m. arrivals or blasting TVs, and enjoy the Great Outdoors. There's nothing like an after-dinner cigar on the porch of a Kabin, hearing critters chirp, and enjoying the aroma of a campfire.
Off and on, we'll try a motel but despite the amenities of an in-room toilet, we always end up in a Kabin the next time around.
We no longer screen immigrants for disease or criminal history. Open borders and a don’t ask don’t tell politburo that provides sanctuary in our largest cities.
