Just when our Viking friends were getting over their hangovers, you go and post this.
LOL
Someone needs to post a suicide support thread.
Ya, but it was tough to see Favre take such a beating and in the end let his team down with a dumb decision.
I never actually wore a bag over my head, but I sat through some sorry games.
Sorry but the Saints didn’t win this one. The Vikings biggest opponent on that field last night were thge Vikings.
WHO DAT!!!
Just thought you may be interested in this thread.
Good to see a New Orleans break the “Never Played in a Super Bowl” hex.
Maybe the Cleveland Browns will join them one day.
Remaining teams to have “Never Played in a Super Bowl”
* Cleveland Browns
* Houston Texans
* Jacksonville Jaguars
* Detroit Lions
(ps. -don’t bother telling me about the Ravens)
Why oh why didn’t Brett run for it? Unless all those uncalled Saints late hits made his ankles useless.
1. Saints from the "Chocolate City" (Nagin)
2. Colts of owner Jim Irsay who blocked Rush Limbaugh's ownership bid.
I'll be rooting Colts b/c Peyton is the classiest athlete I have ever seen.
The kick was a very minor part of the game.
I would not be too boastful Saints fans. You did not win that game, the Vikings lost it. You are going to have to better then that in the Big Show.
I’m ecstatic!! GEAUX SAINTS!
Brett and the Vikings got exactly what they deserved.
There are lots of reasons the Vikings lost. You could make the argument that one of the reasons that the Vikings lost was because of the “too many men in the huddle” penalty near the end of regulation play.
If you recall, the Vikings were in a position, on third down, to make a 50-yard FG that would have won the game for them. This is a long kick, but its about a 75% shot for the Viking's kicker. But they were caught with 12 men in the huddle, a 5 yard penalty, that made the chance of making the FG, a 55-yard attempt, much more unlikely (probably a 10% chance). Thus Farve attempted the risky pass that got intercepted.
Here's the irony: the “too many men in the huddle” penalty is a result of the Fran Tarkenton Vikings in the 1970s. Before it was illegal to do so, Fran Tarkenton would have 14 men in the huddle, thus the defending team didn't know if the Vikings were going to use their running experts or their pass receiving experts until the very last second when the extra three guys left the field. The 14-man huddle was so brilliant and diffficult to defend against that the NFL made it illegal to have more than 11 men in the huddle.
Now it's come back to bite the Vikings in the butt.

Did Favre ‘throw’ the game???
