I remember an awards ceremony (Screen Actors Guild, maybe?) where James Arness presented a lifetime achievement award to his dear friend John Wayne, who was dying. Wayne cracked that it was an honor to get the award from such a tall actor. Arness said, "I may be taller, but you're bigger." And Arness broke down.
Unforgettable.
