I used to remember his name but have forgotten it. Had a friend in the DA's office that gave me a tape of her testimony and had many hours of entertainment from it. The would be rapist has served his time and dissapered.

I heard the tape of her pre-trial testimony. Although she was a bit hesitant at first, she became much more animated by the time she was through. The District Attorney Bobby DeLaughter said she was the best witness he has ever had in his years as a prosecutor.
A footnote; in Mississippi when a convicted individual appeals his verdict, it’s customary to allow the person to start serving his sentence in the jail in which he was incarcerated while the appeal process is going on rather than send him to the state pen at Parchman. However, in this case the would-be rapist petitioned the court to let him go to Parchman immediately. It seems the story of what happened to him was all the news at the local jail and he was being ragged by both guards and fellow prisoners...
