>>> The researchers attributed the weight gain to cohabiting women eating unhealthier food because of their partner <<<

Are all our researchers this stupid?

So now women can complain that their husbands and boyfriends contribute to the obesity problem.

In addition to everything else which women complain about relating to the men in their lives, they can add this issue.

As always with stories like this, I can see my grandmother standing in front of me, smacking her palm against her forehead and announcing, “What, they needed college to find this out?”

There’s two things I won’t tolerate from a woman. Gaining too much weight and not being able to be trained to leave the toilet seat up. I also expect them to do their best to stay as pretty as when I married them. /s

Some of us guys like a little extra meat on the women.
That emaciated fishbone look doesn’t turn us on. Don’t misread here though—not into the blubbery whale look either... just a few ticks to the right on the scale is
just fine.

considering most single women intentionally underfeed themselves because they have the mistaken impression that concentration camp chic is still in style, I’m glad to hear that married women are better-fed, even more so if they’ve a child to look after.

Must’ve been some pot-bellied misogynist or some blue stocking half ton feminist that figured this out.

I’m fat, I’ll blame it on my husband and my babies! They shoved french fries, pasta with alfredo sauce, and biscuits slathered in lard down my throat!

Jeebus!

4 lbs thats a error in the scale. Can’t claim that for nine lbs. Babies add weight, wow who would have thunk it.

***The researchers attributed the weight gain to cohabiting women eating unhealthier food because of their partner, while they also have less time to exercise.***

Sounds like an abuse issue to me. Those partners holding these poor women down and shoving “unhealthy” food down their throats.

And really, gaining 10 pounds puts you at a health risk? I’m still trying to figure out the real agenda behind this article.

As everyone who is over the age of 18 knows the reason both men and women gain weight after marriage is because A:) They both feel they don't have to chase the opposite sex any more so therefore they kind of let themselves get a trifle careless in their apperance. B:) Because as people get older and get more responsibility they tend be caught up in day to day events and don't pay attention to their weight until they have gained a few(and sometimes many)pounds.

This study is just another stupid attempt to get people to abandon married life.

notice the age of the women studied: 18-23. in the US few women of that age group often aren't even married.

As a woman married 10 years, mid forties and has been with my partner for over twelve years I am the same or even lower weight then when I graduated from high school in which I was very slender then. Since I now lift heavy weights and do a rigorous resistance workout three days a week, eat well, and do my cardio four to six days a week, I am a size two as opposed to the size four when I graduated high school.

The point being that if a woman takes care of herself, commits to self care while also caring for her relationship she can look awesome hot. My husband likes. They must have studied only liberal women ;-D!!

Another area in which Sarah Palin has bucked the stats!!!!!!! :-D. Proof that not all women that are dedicated wives and mothers as well as smart and have many other roles in life must be heavy and weigh more than the average single person.

Just because one is in a loving relationship does mean they literally must use this as an excuse to be a pig or let themselves go to pot.

Who is attracted to a dykey feminazi? Who would you rather? Sarah Palin or a heavy, dykey feminist who no longer cares for herself but uses her long term partnership as an excuse for looking super heavy?

Four lbs is nothing. It is when four turns into fifteen plus that this rationalization is just that a rationalization.
