OK, but the real point is that low salt is hazardous to your health, not using salt.
The whole low salt thing is an incredibly ignorant myth. - If you have a BP problem, find the problem and fix it, but don’t ruin your digestion by cutting salt. The tennis ball squeezing routine has been proven to reduce BP for everyone that has tried it, and if that’s to crude for you the toy that tells you when to squeeze and how hard only costs $380, and unlike BP medicine, it doesn’t have harmful side effects.
My main gripe is with restaurants that over-salt food like french fries. There is no reason they need to pour so much salt on a batch of fries that it makes my mouth burn to eat them and it isn't like it isn't poured on after cooking, which you could do on your own if you like that much salt. Those places are mainly staffed with teenagers who usually can't get the order right the first time anyway and asking for a special order that might inconvenience them these days is just daring someone to spit on your hamburger. So, yes, I would like to see restaurants voluntarily make policies to cut back on excessive salt.
