I had to look twice to make sure I was at Free Republic. A government-run school tells a family to cut their son's hair and everyone here rallies around the school district? Over hair length? C'mon people!

Finally, someone with common sense! Schools may be able to dictate the dress code, but hair is part of the body, not clothing.

I, too, am amazed by how many “small government”, “freedom loving”, “patriots” want the government to micromanage the length of a child’s hair.
