How can we help. Michael Medved said some group named “Food for the Poor” or something was on the ground there and donating money to them would help immediately, I want to donate, maybe the redcross but I don’t want this to be lost in some big organization, please, let’s all find a way to help. I will go search for that organization Michael Medved mentioned yesterday ...

Samaritan's Purse is also a great organization. I just saw that Franklin Graham will be on the ground in Haiti tonight with Greta Van Susteren.

Okay, I just called "Food for the Poor" and they are the #1 helper of countries in the Carribean, they have missions on the gound in Haiti, many are missing, one was air lifted with spinal injuries, I nearly broke down in tears on the phone, it is truly horrible there.

Food For The Poor, the largest international relief and development organization in the United States, does much more than feed millions of hungry poor in 17 countries of the Caribbean and Latin America. This interdenominational Christian agency provides emergency relief assistance, clean water, medicines, educational materials, homes, support for orphans and the aged, skills training and micro-enterprise development assistance, with more than 96 percent of all donations going directly to programs that help the poor.

They sent 12 truckloads of supplies yesterday, she said 40 more truckloads of supplies and help were going to today.

I'm making a healthy online donation right now at this page.

The Red Cross doesn’t take a cut out of donations. We’re unemployed and have little disposable income right now but some of it is on it’s way to the Red Cross right now. My heartfelt prayers go out to the people of Haiti. May God wrap His arms around them and protect and console them in the aftermath of this tragedy.

I read somewhere that the Navy already had ships on the way to provide assistance. I’m sure the other branches of our military are right there also. God bless those brave men and women in the military who will work tirelessly to help the people of Haiti.

Food for the Poor is four stars on the Charity Navigator site. They do good work and are very efficient with donations.

Dear God, those poor people. The children wandering the streets in search of family. The parents not knowing if their children are alive, dead or needing them.

Just... Dear God.

Thank you for your kindness! I have seen pictures of the people and the dead on Fox News. But this CNN video drove home the scope of the devastation. Funny how us nasty ol’ gun-toting, Blible-clinging, home-grown terrorist conservatives are always right there helping others. And, of course, the libs who tend to not share our belief in God can’t and won’t offer prayers.

God bless you for your kind deed and may He make His presence known in Haiti and provide for those who are so in need today.
