Usher: A very emotional song for a very emotional young lady.
Didi bursts into tears after she sings in front him.
Her song is "What Becomes of The Broken Hearted". I like this more than I thought I would. A bit of a forced scream at the end though.
Randy: Yo. The whole performance flatlined for me. Wasn't great for me. Waiting for a moment. Didn't get it.
Ellen: It was dramamtic, and you know I love your voice. But I thought that was way dramatic.
Kara: It was overdone, girl. You've changed. You've lost your way. Your vision is not what it was. Very confusing. It leaves me puzzled.
Simon: Cue lots of boos. It was like swimming in jelly. So over the top, so old fashioned, so off-medely. Kara is right, you have completely and utterly lost your way. [compares her to a singer on "one of those dancing shows"]
Didi: I'm not an R&B singer and I did what I could with it.
Seacrest pressures her--repeatedly--to tell everyone why she chose that song, shamelessly hoping Didi bursts into tears again.
Much to her credit, Didi does not take the bait. Instead she turns it on Seacrest.
Didi: He wants me to say him. (laughs)
Completely shot-down now, Seacrest tells everyone that Didi chose that song because it means a lot to someone she knows, "and we'll leave it at that."
Yeah okay, Seacrest. Thank you for an awkward 60 seconds.
Didi should definitely go back to brunette.
That’s hot.
