There is no replacing Simon for this thing. They should have brought in a real vocal talent and not a comedian who has no business judging vocal talent.
I thought David Foster, Steve Perry, Peter Cetera...all would have been solid choices.
Agreed. He was at least willing to look folks squarely in the eye and tell them the “cruel to be kind” truth, so that they wouldn’t waste more of their lives pursuing singing careers uselessly.
And he did it in an entertaining way.
