It’s a crime to run into someone on the ski slopes?

This very thing happened to my brother many years ago. Bro was on skis and snowboarder (new sport back then) came out of nowhere, like a bat outta hell. He slammed into bro and then took off. Ski patrol never found him. Bro ended up with three metal pins in his femur, and had several surgeries.

>>The suspect is described as a white male between 25-30 years old, and approximately 5’10” - 6’2” tall.<<

Fortunately, since he doesn’t fit the profile of a snowboarder he should be easy to spot.

Apparently she is stable now but compound fracture of the femur IS life-threatening, can kill a number of ways: hemorrhage from lacerated femoral artery, fat embolism in the lungs (from released marrow) and infection if open fracture or surgery necessary. And it’s an indicator of possible internal injury as it requires a lot of force to break the largest bone in the body and other injuries are likely.

Several years ago someone was killed at Mt. Hood Meadows by a hit and run snowboarder punk. The thing about snowboarding is they don't have a good view of their backside. When I am skiing I try not to pass snowboarder knuckledraggers on their backside so they don't veer into me.

One of these snowboard punks ran down my own daughter when we were skiing. Luckily she was not seriously injured, but she was banged up pretty hard and crying hysterically for a few minutes.

I put the very fear of Christ in him when I caught up to him, but he was saved from a good hard punch in the mouth by the fact that I couldn't tell if he was under 18 or not.

I still prefer no-snowboard zones such as Deer Valley, Alta, or Taos. Don't like the snowboard punks at all.
