Good grief, the whole thing was maybe ten minutes from start to finish. What possible story could be woven out of that for a two-hour movie?

They would need to make Obama the Executive Producer...he’s woven a 9 month career in the Senate and a history of voting “present” into becoming the Leader of the Free World (barf)

Flashbacks to each of the passenger’s lives. “Oh God! I swear I’ll never cheat on my husband/wife again if you just let me live!”

They will also have the flashback to when Sully was at his 10th birthday party and he blew out the candles on his cake and wished he would become a pilot.

Most movies are 90 minutes in length, and, yes, I think this is doable. You do a background story of the crew, and passengers, interaction on the plane, etc. I see this as a potential good movie if done correctly. Also, the river landing, the rescue, etc. would be very interesting - much like the Titanic, with the exception that all passengers were rescued.
