Oh heck yes. Like I said to ColdWater I don't know why the bow swings to starboard. Could be as you say he tried to maneuver behind the Ady Gil, or that the swing was caused by putting the rudder hard over to port while increasing power. Hey I'm OK if they did run them down.
But I get a little crazy when people tell me I didn't see something that is fairly clear in both videos, that in fact between second 00 and second 09 the bow of the Japanese ship swings to starboard.

I think I may not have seen the vid you saw. Starboard is to the right and the vid I watched had the bat-boat approaching from the port/left side. I’ll check for another video when I have time.
