That's still one more playoff win than Wade Phillips.

I’m all for whatever it takes for all four teams of the NFC East to have a losing season. Maybe then they will switch Dallas and Carolina so the whole Division system makes more sense...

Coach Wade has 2 NFC-East titles in 3 years - not bad.

Need some post-season wins, but he's made DAL a threat to division opponents.

I don’t think Shanahan is the answer. In fact, I don’t think there is an answer so long as Snyder is in the picture. Plus, Shanahan has proven that without a star quarterback, he can’t win in the playoffs (who can - besides Bill Belechek). The last I checked, the Redskins have anything but a star quarterback. The kid they have just cannot manage the west coast offense - even the variation that Shanahan runs.

hold on gotta appease the race baiters first and interview a token black candidate before hiring shanahan.

If I were a black coach, I’d charge $100K or so per interview so that the NFL owners can check this box.

It’s a shame that Colt Brennan was hurt, it would have been nice for the Redskins to see what they’ve got in him.

What's the status of the Redskin's Defense?

I like Shanahan a lot but the revolving door of defensive coordinators and his total lack of emphasis of Defensive Draftpicks got on my nerves. Denver would score 34 and the Defense would give up 37 and we would lose.

Defensive Coordinators provided a convenient scapegoat though. Ironically, the best trade Shanahan ever engineered was the one with the Redskins for Champ Bailey.

I wonder if Snyder would consider giving us Shanahan for Junior Hoody? I'll cheer for the Redskin's with Shanahan at the helm.

Regards,

TS

"It’s a shame that Colt Brennan was hurt, it would have been nice for the Redskins to see what they’ve got in him."

That's true. I didn't see him play enough in college to make any predictions (his records are impressive), but he CAN'T be worse than the kid who's started all 16 games - in his 5th season, no less. That Campbell kid is not the answer to any question. The pro game moves WAY too fast for him.

I'm not sure who you'd pick this year that would be any improvement on Brennan - too many question marks in the upcoming draft at QB.

I figured with Zorn’s future questionable in Washington, Shanahan was beating down doors to get a job there.

“...or Jim Zorn.”

I live in the Dallas metroplex and thereby hate those scurley Redskins, have since the days of Tom Landry and George Allen - now that was a great rivalry. But, I am curious as to why the Skins would not play for Zorn. He seems to be a decent enough guy to me. I would think that a bunch of millionaires would-be professionals would be more or less self motivated to perform regardless of the coach...

Even the return of Joe Gibbs couldn’t change that.

What does Dallas have to do with this? I presented facts. You must be an 0bamatron. When people talk about 0bama, do you talk about Bush?

So long as Snyder insists on micromanaging his team, whoever they pick to be coach won’t matter.

Snyder is the problem and is stupendously unqualified to make football decisions. Whatever “skill” he had running Six Flags has never translated to the Redskins.

Running Six Flags? Runing is more like it. He seems to have the Midas touch in reverse.
