Lots of yelling and screaming(probably a few not so nice words)at the Bengals to wake the eff up!!!!

Yeah....GRRRRRRRRR

At least we finally posted up a winning season and had a chance at the playoffs right up to the last minute. :)

And what a game that was at Reliant today. What a game!

It’s okay if you hate them - we “five ringers” understand - yah can hate - but ya gotta kneel anyway! LOL!

That “Doomsday III” just didn’t let anything important (for the ill-gulls) through today when it counted!

More of same next Sunday for “mac Nubb” and his scrubs.

24 to zippers - that was a solid horse-beating!

A tip of the helmet to you, ma’am, on your Texans’ victory over my Patriots. I trust you were at Reliant?

Thank you! Yes, I was there and what a game! I was pretty sure we'd blown it in the third quarter and then the Texans came ALIVE!

If only the Bungles could have come through for us in NY...(sigh)

Wait 'til next year! :-D

I’d better not get involved in that, or I’ll get myself banned. I’ve already had one post removed this week.

You know, I could almost tolerate Ravens fans if they at least didn’t try to justify what Modell did to Cleveland as somehow not as bad as what Irsay did to Baltimore - frankly, what Modell did was worse. Irsay gave Baltimore and Maryland plenty of chances to work with him, while Modell announced the move before Cleveland could even hold a vote on renovating the stadium. For Baltimore fans to cheer Modell while damning Irsay is worse than hypocritical, and for them to try and put Modell in the Hall of Fame - which, last I checked, was in Browns country - is just plain insulting.

Oh, and as you pointed out on that thread, Baltimore is a crap sports town anyway. You’d think they’d learn something being that close to a good sports town like Philly, but I guess that’s too much to ask. There, vented my spleen.

DoomsDay III, baby! (not to mention Tony Romo’s umpteenth game this season of 300+ yards passing...

They are motivated, hungry, and playing with a chip on their shoulders.

If they maintain their intensity, I pity any NFC team that goes against them in the playoffs

but I don’t pity any of them enough to want the Cowboys to show any mercy whatsoever.

We’ve heard that about the Cowboys going into the playoffs before. But when’s the last time they won a playoff game again? 1996?

I wouldn’t be talking Romo up too much - you’ll jinx him! Not that he needs any help in that department, of course.

Yeah, and the Texans could easily have beaten this Bengals team in the first round. I doubt they could have gotten past the Chargers, though.

It’s too bad. I really wanted to see the Texans make it. They’ll be dangerous next year, though.

Final rankings for final regular season week. I'm assuming the Bengals won't make a 37 point comeback in the last 9:55. BTW, the reason I started putting pictures of Wade in for my Cowboys pick is I think the guy's a pretty good coach who doesn't get any respect. The changes made to the defense this year were mostly bringing in Wade guys.

Well the Ain’ts got their teeth kicked in (again) today by a mediocre team, while my ‘Boys beat the living crap out of a flock of birds that HAD won 6 straight games...

Don’t get me wrong - I am not rubbing it in about N.O. - you know I like Brees a lot - but one week layoff or no, this has to cause some very serious pause for thought.

Brees is as good as we both know him to be - problem is, the rest of their lineup is not. Cowboys are as good as a thought, and better than anyone has seen them yet play - although I will admit - shutting out two teams in a row is a pretty impressive feat.

Encore beating to be administered to the eagles, next Sunday in Dallas...score subject to change without notice!

I hope Brees and Co can regroup on their weekend off.

That’s weird that Philly could drop from 2 to 6.

The Eagles' dropping to fifth place I could understand, but I had to look up how they would fall behind the Packers.

It turns out that Tiebreaker #3 between teams from different divisions (no head-to-head, so Tiebreaker #1 doesn't help; both teams finished 9-3 in the NFC, so Tiebreaker #2 doesn't help) is better record against (a minimum of four) common opponents.

The common opponents for the Eagles and Packers during 2009 were Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco and Tampa Bay.

Green Bay beat Dallas, San Francisco and Chicago (twice) while losing to Tampa Bay for a 4-1 record against these common opponents. Philadelphia beat San Francisco, Chicago and Tampa Bay while losing to Dallas (twice) for a 3-2 record against these common opponents.

Heh-heh-heh! AIN’T gonna happen...and we have the Eagles to thank for it!

It was their 44 to 6 thrashing of the ‘Boys last year that convinced Jerry Jones to get rid of Adam “pac-man” Jones, Terrell Owens, and a couple other dead weights on locker-room morale (that is the inside word I get, anyway...)

so - thanks to the iggles for giving them some “fire in their bellies”!

See you next weekend - can’t wait:)

LOL!

Like it will be any kind of a first when they win. Personally, I wouldn’t count anything from the time Aikmann retired early (due to concussions) up through Romo coming into his own...his first full season calling plays being ‘08, of course.

No TO, no Pac-man - fewer off-field distractions, and some revenge served cold after last year’s worst-ever against Philly in week 17...

Different times, Packer fan...different times.

Hat tip to GB, though - for handing Dallas their most solid defeat of this now-ended regular season. That’s another occurence I do not believe will repeat itself.

I do not fully expect it to happen this post-season, but mark me on this - Dallas (franchise in existence since 1960) will be the next NFL squad to notch 6 SuperBowl wins. More of a feat than for the Steelers - a franchise since 1936...or the 49ers - around since the forties or fifties.

Yeah I know the Super Bowl hasn’t been around that long either - just talking a little smack - LOL!!

Besides - GB does have one super bowl title - right? Riding the arm of that Favre guy...?
