Tech will lose a lot more than $800k from this deal. From the initial reports of his contract, he might well be owed that amount even though he was fired before the bonus was technically due. They didn't fire him over $800k. They fired him because he appears to be absolutely unable to admit fault in almost anything, which led him to gross insubordination and an inability to apologize.
Your rambling about the conditions of a life in the military are irrelevant. And I have never requested that anyone feel sorry for Adam James.
Whatever
The email traffic makes it clear that Texas Tech conspired to set Leach up to "fail" during last year's contract negotiations, knowing he would not admit to wrongdoing if he did not believe he did anything wrong. When Adam James whined, they unilaterally declared Leach to be in the wrong. When he refused to admit to wrongdoing, their sprang their trap and called it insubordination so they could claim HE breached the contract so they could fire him without paying him.
And you're buying it hook, line, and sinker.
The jury won't.
Texas Tech has engaged in gross bad faith, civil conspiracy to defraud, and has what is known in the law as unclean hands.
I'm still waiting for anyone--especially Texas Tech--to demonstrate how ANYTHING Leach did caused Adam James harm or or placed him in greater risk of harm. If Texas Tech had such evidence, we would have known about it by now.
Texas Tech, with the complicit assistance of Craig James's 800 pound gorilla employer, is doing a fine job spinning their threadbare case to bamboozle some people. That won't work in court.
