It was fun to watch “Dickerjames” in action those years.
Saying something happened is not quite the same as providing evidence.
Absolutely none.
But we live in a feminized culture where hurt feeeeeelings are not tolerated.
One teeny tiny point you missed in your analysis was that the player had a diagnosed concussion.
His "superiors" set him up because the had absolutely no intention of fulfilling their contractual promises. That is bad faith and it is going to end up costing them millions.
The email traffic makes it clear that Texas Tech conspired to set Leach up to "fail" during last year's contract negotiations, knowing he would not admit to wrongdoing if he did not believe he did anything wrong. When Adam James whined, they unilaterally declared Leach to be in the wrong. When he refused to admit to wrongdoing, their sprang their trap and called it insubordination so they could claim HE breached the contract so they could fire him without paying him.
And you're buying it hook, line, and sinker.
The jury won't.
Texas Tech has engaged in gross bad faith, civil conspiracy to defraud, and has what is known in the law as unclean hands.
I'm still waiting for anyone--especially Texas Tech--to demonstrate how ANYTHING Leach did caused Adam James harm or or placed him in greater risk of harm. If Texas Tech had such evidence, we would have known about it by now.
Texas Tech, with the complicit assistance of Craig James's 800 pound gorilla employer, is doing a fine job spinning their threadbare case to bamboozle some people. That won't work in court.
Idiots are people who don’t read before they reply. I have gone out of my way to highlight the fact that there is ongoing dispute over the best way to characterize the space where Adams was supposedly stashed away. It’s semantics and it’s irrelevant.
Incidentally, I continually get a kick out of all the armchair quarterbacks on the internet who probably never even played high school ball that are always ready to call an athlete a “pansy” or crap all over them for a perceived lack of toughness.
Being hard-headed is regarded by some as some sort of inherent virtue from years-gone-by. That's only the case when you're in the right. When you're not, you end up in situations like Leach finds himself in now.
What is this irrelevant fantasy scenario you're talking about? The team doctor diagnosed the player with a concussion.
(By the way, I'm tired of hearing the idea the room was air conditioned brought up as if it means something in the middle of winter.)
Now where did you play
I don't recall ever claiming I played anywhere.
mister tough guy?
I don't recall ever claiming to be a tough guy.
One teeny tiny point about that so called diagnosed concussion......
All you need is a headache to receive that initial diagnoses. It is really a suspected concussion. My read of this is that that in the coaches opinion, the kid did not receive a hit that would have caused a head injury. The coach likely connected the complaint to the other issues that he was having with the ESPN daddy's complaints and did not want to look at the kid standing around.
These days, any complaint of a headache, no matter how minor is taken as a suspected concussion. All players know this and they sometimes use it to get out of practice.
A real concussion cannot be diagnosed without a cat scan that may or may not show bruising of the brain. If there was a bleed, that would change the diagnoses from a concussion to a hemorrhage caused by a concussion. So you see, this concussion business is a total red herring. The kid was put in a dark room which is the correct treatment. He should not have been standing on the field. The team doctor or some doctor, likely a private one has been engaged to cause a load of PC crap to be shoveled at the coach and it worked.
The coach, when all is said and done in court, will own a nice piece of the endowment fund at the conclusion of this farce.
Yes. Very astute medical analysis there. In fact, every person in the US with a headache is conditionally diagnosed with a concussion, whether they know it or not.
