I’ve been watching the marathon almost straight through over the last two days and nights. I’m sad this is the end for him. Are they setting up Timothy Dalton as his replacement?

They have some young bloke as the new doctor. Forget his name.

Well Tennant certainly has done that role justice. It will be hard to grow the attachment fans have for Tennant and without the popularity they may wind up with smaller budgets, shorty story arcs, etc. So, I hope they aren’t jumping the shark by not finding a way to keep him happy.

I’m sure he doesn’t want to risk always being “the Doctor” but you know, I watched Stargate for 10 years and I still see Richard Dean Anderson as MacGuyver. So the train may already have left the station on that one.

No, Timothy Dalton would be too old, I think. This time they go to a young man, the youngest actor to play the Doctor (younger than Peter Davison). His name is Matt Smith.

How sad. If the authorities knew Wilf had the Webley under his bed he’d be rotting in jail instead of helping the Doctor.

I find the Zero references interesting. They talk about him saving the world from the recession which in the Doctor Who Universe usually is a bad thing, ie humans promising something grandiose.

I’m watching it. The Brits are saying that it is one of the best and biggest send-offs ever.

Watching now. Waiting for the end to come *sad*
I don’t know about the new guy. Watched a trailer, and he feels weird.

Seeing David Tennant go will be painful. I’ve only seen pictures of the new guy—he doesn’t seem right for the part.

Does any one know from the original series there was only suppose to be 7 regenerations. The master had passed that and that was why he was deformed until he stole a body. How did the Doctor get around that? I missed a lot of the Doctor after Peter Davidson They did not rerun those as much
