Video of the state of affairs in Detroit.
Detroit was a slum in the 60’s. We stayed in the hotel downtown ONCE. It was small, dirty and nasty. And it wasn’t a safe city.
Detroit has fallen far and fast. It was in many ways the ideal of a large American city, as recently as the fifties. Beautiful civic structures, grand homes. It’s a sad state of affairs, a city being largely abandoned to feral elements, and one so iconic. The same fate appears to be befalling New Orleans, too.
I’d like to see the real America fight back and reclaim them from the abyss. The circumstances that would permit such a rennaissance seem elusive, though.
It’s about 40 miles away from me and it’s decay is spreading like a disease.
If a nuke falls in a post-apocalyptic city, does it make a sound?
UAW workers $74 an hour.
Japanese auto workers $42 an hour.
Private sector workers $26.
I don’t wish ill on anyone, but I hope they all go broke.
I wonder if crowder was packing some heat when he went into those “homes”.
This is what you get when liberals are in charge. America, take heed.
I lived near Detroit in the early 60's. It was then a town of Mitch Ryder, Bob Seger and The Supremes. My aunts (all now deceased) had homes in Detroit and it was safe to walk to McDonalds or to the movie theater. We even took a bus to downtown Detroit to shop. Not in the remotest way would I ever think of doing that in today's Detroit. My aunts would be appalled to see Detroit looking like this. One aunt had magnificent roses all over her back yard - most certainly they are long long gone as well.
Yeah, but they're oppressed by the evil Big Taxpayer! You gotta root for the little guy against Big Taxpayer!
Do you know what that large building with the pedament used to be??
Much of the west side was bombed and fired out after the 1968 Democrat convention riots and never rebuilt.
I can’t authorize that kind of action.

It might be wise to collect videotapes and/or stills of the various ruined American cities and put them in an archive on this site. Further, it might help to get photos of the same cities before the Third World takeover for purposes of comparison. The left and their friends rely on the size of this country and the media suppression by silence in order that most Americans be kept unaware of the creeping disaster.
Good!
Some here on FR seem to take a perverse joy in it. I don’t. It does spread. It’s like watching a new Dark Age take root.
“Detroit is not representative of all America.”
It is, however, representative of any area controlled by liberals, unions, and democrats for 60 years...
We used to go to Dayton and Cleveland from Toledo one weekend a month. We had family in those cities that we went to see. In Dayton we stayed at the Hilton and in Cleveland, it was the Cleveland Sheraton. As kids, we walked to theaters and shopping. Not in Detroit. We nearly turned around and went back home. But we stayed the night and left early the next morning. This was from 62 to 66.
I don't but MamaDearest might.
