He wasn't "assigned" he was hired, and he wasn't hired five days before the last hearing - that was the day he started work. Most likely he was hired before Obama even declared his candidacy.

One that they have never experience before. yeah, there has been shenanigans before but everything PALES in comparison to this situation.
