Since that is true, we should get a chihuahua. :)

The large dogs are getting to difficult for us to handle.

There is such an abundance of chihuahuas, that the Humane Society was giving them away, in Phoenix last month. (Seems like they had over 300.) I have heard that they think they are BIG, and snap easily. Also, I have heard they tend to shiver and shake all the time. Of course, these are just things I have heard - so not sure. Now yorkies? That is another story. They are small, loving, sweet, loyal (not too bright) dogs.

Be careful what you wish for! LOL They are the meanest bullies and the biggest babies EVER! Once you’ve been loved by one, you’ll understand. They’re too smart for their own good and if they had opposable thumbs they would rule the world. They are very much one or two people dogs, and everyone outside their circle is nothing but bait.

Having “known” several when I was a child, I swore I’d never have one. Never say never! Hubby brought one home, not much bigger than my palm, and he ruled the roost for 12 years. Just about broke my heart when we lost him last year.

If you get one, make sure you meet the parents, and make sure they have good temperaments. Ours was a termagant from the time we got him til the day he died. :) OTOH, you’d be hard pressed to find a little dog with more personality!
