Grant, I wonder if you are a football fan? Just because, if so, I hope you're demanding to the team ownership that the whole team should be put to death immediately. After all, a literal reading of the Bible does tell us that anyone who works on Sunday should be killed, right? And you've apparently linked belief in Christ with blindly following everything in the Bible.

God is not mean. There are however, mean spirited people who claim to speak for Him.
Is it not obvious when some responders make snap judgments without truly reading the entire article in order to get its actual thesis?
God is not mean. There are however, mean spirited people who claim to speak for Him.
Well said.
The point of the article is not Saturday or Sunday as the holy day of worship.
Read the article again and maybe again in order to get the actual point of the article. Read the whole article.
the problem is not with God.
the problem of presence is with you. check it out.
He is within the hearts of the totally surrendered.
Thanks for your note.
God loves me and has shown that love time and again. I trust Him to continue till I see Him face to fave in heaven.
My senses must be horrendous. I sense nothing of him...ever
I’m not being sarcastic here. This game of hide and seek is driving me literally insane. This is the most perilous time in world history and God can’t or won’t write braille for some of us who need it. From my side of the fence, he seems to be either malicious or nonexistent. I may be blind but that is how things appear.
...still waiting.
The gist of this piece is not the debate over Saturday or Sunday as the holy worship day.
Read the article and see if you can figure out the real thesis.
ok..so whose been mean to you that you equate God as being mean? Perhaps?
How you’re framing this question reminds me of a child wondering why his parents discipline him or withholds something he wants which is harmful to him, or not yet ready to handle. Children can think their parents are mean as you know.
Actually all and everything you see that’s good, right, lovely, kind, compassionate, caring, and the list goes on.. comes directly from and is God to an undeserving world.
It is mankind who brings much harm, hurt, and meanness by the decisions and choices he makes.
Maybe you should clarify what you mean as mean?
Digest the entire post in order to get the point that the theme is not what is the holy day for worship.
true.
and God may just see to it.
We are imperfect and willful creatures living in a world that is broken and vexed by our sins. God is not mean. We are.
Amen to that.
Suggestion: Read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation in order to get in on the thought patterns of such posts as this one. Evidently you don’t have a personal relationship with the Savior of the Bible or you would get the upshot of this article. It is not moronic. It is logical.
yes.
and the bottom line of this article is that GOD IS NOT MEAN.
if one does not read the article thoroughly, the point is missed.
If you’re waiting for some kind of a “delivery confirmation” that God has delivered His graces it will never come. And He doesn’t even require a signature.
maybe you should once again read the entire article to see that the article points out that God is NOT mean.
read it slowly and completely before responding.
