I hate to pop this so ritious bubble but, one of the first questions many officers ask when they make a stop is if you have any firearms. Lying to an officer is not a good idea.
This is a transparent attempt to make gun owners look stupid. It is the author is is stupid, ignorant, and in a moron class all their own. If I have a permit and have a firearm with me and the cop asks me if I’m have a firearm in the vehicle, I am required to tell him the truth. This is one of the conditions on my CCW. This author needs to go back to the Brady bunch and ask for futher directions.

True, lying is a bad idea. However, you are not required to answer his questions. Sometimes silence is the best reply. Certainly, my policy is not to grant any request to search the vehicle that I am in.
