I visited the doc re cervical radiculopathy (pinched nerve) problems myself recently. For months I’d had off and on pain in left shoulder, arm and neck, with addition of numbness and tingling down left arm and pain in left wrist.
Finally it got so bad I couldn’t stand it anymore and went to doc. He examined me and gave advice on steps that are taken to remedy it, short of surgery. It can be a long and slow process. He told me this initial episode would last 3-4 weeks. It was like 7 weeks and yes, I’ve had some left sided chest pains as a result of it.
I got Vicodin and Soma but only took them for a few days as I can’t stand the side effects; but sitting down as one does at a desk or riding in or driving a car was sheer torture. I had trouble sleeping and had to get into the most ridiculous positions to make that possible. It’s all about that nerve moving a teeny bit to relieve the pain.
Years ago I had sciatica and lower back pain for over six months due to herniated disks so I’ve been through it all.
I would not be shocked if Rush experienced chest area pains from this but it could be heart-related too, all of which explains why he needs a lot of testing and examination to see what’s what.
