(1) When a public crisis hits your company--go on vacation!
(2) If you are already on vacation--Stay on vacation!
(3) Do not respond to the crisis in any way for 3 days. Do not address the public at large.
(4) When you do finally respond, at first deny any responsibility.
(5) The next day, accept responsibility, then return to your vacation
