Are we taking our eyes off the problem? Another bit of writing I did some months back.

When are we finally going to get sufficiently upset?

You know, there's so much going on, you find yourself just clamming up. There are screwy and upsetting things to think about. You find that you need to express things that you never thought you would NEED to express.

My brother criticized me because my blogs have been short and insubstantial lately, and he didn't really appreciate "Paddling Ghost" either. I mean, I'm going to write this all down and then I will read it and think...did I really just have to write that?

...what kind of a world has this turned into?

First, I understand that Khaddafy's so eccentric that he craps in a tent even though he's "King of Kings of the Africas," and there's a Marriott nearby, but I really wish I could edit video. I would take his speech in front of the venerable UN and condense it, with subtitles, into about five surreal and insane minutes of nonsensical drivel and conspiracy theories.

If this is already out there on Youtube, kudos to whomever put it together. I haven't found it, but if it's out there and someone did it, they have served humanity.

That guy is in charge of a country!

And here in the US something seems rotten. I know Obama's czars have been targeted by media. Some claim a smear campaign. But finally, the congress is looking into the constitutionality of Obama's thirty-something self-described "czars" who are not vetted by anyone.

The Green Czar was exposed as a former communist, extreme radical and 9/11 truther who lied and, thank God, decided to step down himself. The left went into a dither at the loss of him, claiming that a mean media was responsible even though the mainstream media never covered the thing until he was too deep in his lies to escape.

So, now we have the "Safe Schools" Czar, Kevin Jennings. Understand that everything I'm going to post has been described as anti-gay, right-wing smear by Media Matters. It won't be a story for the mainstream until and unless the guy steps down.

First, there's the story in Jennings' own book where he talks about meeting with an underage gay teen who confided that he was sleeping with a much older man. Jennings' advice? Use a condom. This was a case of statutory rape, but Jennings said nothing. He says now that he regrets his action.

I'm going to place here some quotes by Jennings that are being revealed in audiotapes of his own speeches.

You know, I always roll my eyes when people talk about the "gay agenda"...even though it makes me cringe to know that the organization NAMBLA has its first amendment rights protected here in the states and even has national meetings.

If you dont know what NAMBLA is, Google. I may be a puritan, but I find it disturbing.

So, your kid goes to kindergarten...should they be taught to respect other kids on the basis of sexual orientation? Here's audio from a Jennings speech in Iowa in 2000.

“This should be our curriculum. Our curriculum at kindergarten and first grade and second grade and every grade until students are graduating school should be: You must respect every human being regardless of sexual orientation, regardless of gender identity, regardless of race or religion or any of the main arbitrary distinctions we make about people.”

“If we cannot teach this very basic lesson in our schools, we will be very surprised how hard it is for so many students to learn the word French or English or math. Its hard to focus on going back to the basics. We’re getting a lot about that in this election year. Let’s go back to the basics. Well you know what? you can’t focus on reading, writing and arithmetic when you’re instead focusing on survival.”

------------------------------------------------------------------------ This for me, is enough reason to home school. There should be no school curriculum in kindergarten or first or second grade that addresses sexual orientation. And it's clearly what he's advocating. You have no right to teach my five-year-old about sexual orientation. Think back to your own grade school years. Kids got along, kids weren't thinking about sex. You have NO BUSINESS schooling my kindergardener in anything to do with sex. Instead I agree with the people who would say, "You focus on ABC's and 123's. You focus on on the basics. Keep ideas about sexuality AWAY from my little kid! They are exposed to sex early enough as it is." The purpose of the school is to educate NOT to indoctrinate and grossly OVERSTEP as Jennings is advocating.

So, right, by now...you can imagine that I'm concerned. Surely this isn't a person who sees an "agenda" or has any kind of agenda, right? Society is society...society is reflected in school. Bullying and disrespect of others is bad. But schools are schools, students and students...there's no agenda, right?

Weeeeell, here's more audio of Jennings at the same speech. It's short, but if you go to Breitbart.com you can hear it:

"Kids are aggressively recruited to be heterosexual in this country and you know what, it doesn't work...."

(This is in the context of kids reading Romeo and Juliet...) ----------------------------------------------------

I believe that he is saying that if homosexuality is talked about in schools, or addressed, or promoted...that it will not have an effect on kids.

But how does that jibe with an assertion that studying Romeo and Juliet "aggressively recruits" students to be heterosexual? So, you're going to counter-recruit them somehow?

It conflicts, doesn't it? ---------------------------------------------------------

Already, it seems to me that he's not as much a "Safe Schools Czar' as he is a gay activist looking to focus on alternative sexual orientations in the nation's classrooms.

Now, you may think I just made a prejudiced statement, but if gay people compose 10% of the population, it is an alternative to the mainstream.

Back in high school I loved Boy George's music...and we'd kind of figured out that he was "alternative" in more ways than one. It didn't stop us from liking his music...now, after he got convicted of chaining a male prostitute up in his house...well, it completely ruined "Karma Chameleon" not to mention "Bow Down Mister" for me.

And George Michael coming out wasn't really much of a shocker either. "Wake Me Up before you Go Go" to the park to seek out anonymous men...

So, you see? I'm kind of put off by an obvious...well, what seems like an agenda by this guy. An agenda that isn't appropriate for very young kids. And a seeming bias against heterosexuality.

But then today came the clincher. So now there's a transcript of a speech from 1997 where Jennings expresses admiration for Harry Hay. Hay was apparently a longtime advocate of NAMBLA.

Again, if you don't know what NAMBLA is, Google it. Be prepared, if you research enough, to throw up a little in your mouth...or maybe, if you're really naive...have a bucket nearby.

In case you just don't want to...the MBL in the middle of the acronym stands for MAN BOY LOVE. This is a group of homosexual pedophiles.

------------------------------------------------------

That's enough for me. Enough to question ALL the CZARS and even the concept of non-vetted czars in general. But this is just a right-wing smear...except, it's all true.

You decide, but personally, I would like to see another "I was becoming too much of a distraction, so I need to step down..." speech.

There's a way to coexist and be tolerant of diversity without promoting pedophilia and underage gay sex in the public school system. Kevin Jennings, apparently, is not IT.

So, I hope you get upset. Upset at Media Matters for attacking the source. Upset at Obama for putting people into powerful positions without proper consideration. Upset that NAMBLA gets any recognition. Upset that we're talking about usurping innocence of kindergardeners by introducing sexuality into the classroom and thinking it's somehow MORE important than the basics. Upset that the regular media is ignoring this. Upset that it seems like schools could become places we don't want to send our kids to, even though our tax dollars pay for them. Upset that we are considered irrational for considering all of this. Upset that Bert and Ernie aren't enough. Upset that your grandmother told you today that a member of the congregation complained that there are TOO MANY crosses displayed inside the Presbyterian church. Upset that your sister finally wrote a substantial blog, but it took most of your lunch break to read it.

Upset, just upset.

I think we've forgotten Jennings...and we're taking our eyes off a problem. Kids should not have their innocence stolen like this.

I agree whole-heartedly with you here. I don’t only worry about their innocence, but also their indoctrination into a world of sinister ideals & corruption.

....home school is looking better & better.

My niece has already said she WILL home school.

Locally, the school district is pretty responsive to parents...(rural Illinois)

But WTF? We pay taxes for public education...EDUCATION is primal.

We ought to be SCREAMING about this. The idea of introducing any kind of sexuality at the kindergarten level.

It’s almost pedophelia...to educate little kids about sexuality.

We ought to be SCREAMING no.

Childhood SHOULD mean innocence.

"Kids are aggressively recruited to be heterosexual in this country and you know what, it doesn't work...."

What a huge load of crap. Kids should be allowed to kids and not be exposed to turd burglars with an agenda. There was a time people like Jennings would not dare to show their face in public. And for good reason.

My daughter’s school has heard from me several times when I see something completely radical like this going on in the schools. Her first day of school this year, in fact her first year in the high school, I called the principal & told him that I’m keeping my daughter home because I will not stand for them forcing our kids to watch that incompetent idiot in the WH speaking to our children on their first day.

It turned out he didn’t say anything radical but the NEA website recently recommended Alinsky’s writings for the union members to read.

It’s actually on the NEA site.

I was fortunate. I attended high school at an international school overseas.

Our teachers were amazing. There was no politics. History teachers were particularly brutal...we had to have umpteen sources. They DIDN’T teach us that the US bombs on Japan were wrong....

They were clear about the dangers of Nazi-ism, fascism AND communism.

English reading was “One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich” “1984” “Darkness at Noon”

Ever since I’ve started seeing our history books become biased (leaning left), I told my daughter that I want to know everything she’s being told about our country & our government, etc. I have her watch FNC all the time when they’re talking about the liberals that are behind writing the kids school books. I tell her to question everything.
