You should take Ash anyway. She likes going on trips where there are new things to smell and think about chasing. Also, she would be sad if you left her at home.
One hears them occasionally, usually during night watches. Last week there was someone banging in the LE locker around 2200 (this is a space that’s usually locked, because there are guns and ammunition in there.) And yesterday someone was following me around in the engine room while I was on watch, at about the same time.

It’s a long drive to Chattanooga for Ash, and we’d have to take one car instead of two. Plus we’d be out sightseeing a lot, not hanging out like at the lake or beach. If we decide on that trip, we’ll find someone to keep her, maybe the Jennings or someone from church.
