Practical - I think St Ronnie would prefer mine a bit longer, but I’m wearing a hardhat 12 twelve hours a day and it just doesn’t work ...
You topside and in the weather and wet and cold, or hot and sweaty and noisy in the engineroom, or freezing in the dark in radio or CIC?

Deck Force - topside! Nothing's as fun as the flybridge at 2:00 am. Pitch black and raining. Or knocking ice off the maindeck in the fog. Being underway is fun when there's no visibility and you run into the bulkheads trying to find your way back to the hangar. I'm not allowed in CIC, and I wouldn't go down to the engine room underway if you paid me. Seamen get eaten down there.
