Sigh. I was kind of hoping travel would go down this year. But the discussions of speaking at a conference in New England next month continue, and this morning added a class for engineers in Ohio sometime soon.

OTOH, the conference would help me meet one of my goals for this year, X number of speaking engagements. Given what's already booked I am short of goal by 2, but most book only about 3 months out so there is plenty of time. The biggies book a lot earlier.

But it's beginning to look like I won't be selected for a conference in Germany in April. I can appreciate they would prefer German-speakers.

Of all the houses I’ve looked at to date, one of today’s was the most promising. It is in dire need of clean-up, but even with the clutter and mess that was left, it was “homey.”

I’ll keep you posted. It may be “The One” as it has all I want, plus it’s in the right price range.

Nice. We had a house with that once. But that was 20 years ago.

Now I have to go focus on some detailed work; teleconferences and the like are all done for the day.

I’m about to take some kids to gymnastics, with a stop at the vet to pick up more drops for Jake’s tail.

This morning, I went out early and picked up a foam mattress pad (freecycle) so I can put my blankets on top of the bed instead of under me! Now, I’m anxious to see how well it works.

I also got at NICE wicker basket, and if I get the house, the basket is large enough and sturdy enough to hold logs. YAY, me!

Great! I certainly hope the house works out. People should be anxious to sell.
