I bought my Marlin 336 at Walmart—cheep. I haven’t tried those new `LeverRevolution’ shells. Easy to mount a scope.

I agree with you on this one. The Marlin 30-30 is extremely accurate and fires very fast, and can mount a scope directly in line with the bore. I would also recommend the Marlin .44 magnum lever action.
