"What exactly is a socialite?"
Evidently someone who has utterly no social skills or tolerance of others...

I see, basically somebody who leeches off family members and doesn’t contribute anything useful to society. No wonder she has so much pent-up anger.

Not exactly fair in her case. She actually does work.

Evidently someone who has utterly no social skills or tolerance of others...Absolutely correct.
The word "socialite" is derived from a contraction of "social" and "lite," meaning someone possessed of abnormally deficient skills or ability to get along with their fellow human beings.

It does sound as though alcohol may have been involved. Perhaps she is very unhappy now that her marriage has ended; she must realize that at her age, the prospect of finding anyone again is extremely remote and she is facing the rest of her life alone. That would be enough to drive anyone to have a few rounds. Getting airline staff and the TSA mad at you is really over-the-top, though.

Ok. I’m going to comment before I read others posts. Good for her! I’m tired of kids with no parental supervision.

I might agree with you if her name was Irene Frump. But I dont doubt there are several potential suitors who would be willing to put up with her sh## for as long as the money holds out.

I’d be inclined to give her a pass, having been there with bratty children running amok disturbing the cabin, robbing me of my good money paid to fly upfront so I could have comfort and peace. . .and it is the parents of the brats that need to be taught that just because you have brats does not give you the right to inflict their poor behavior on everyone else.
The parents were big jerks to allow their little darlings to run around an aircraft causing a disturbance and they should have been evicted as well.

What about the parents who allowed their kids to run rampant through first class? I’ve seen some of the screaming, illmannered kids today, maybe she was right. She should have used other tactics and she probably could have gotten the kids and their stupid parents ejected from first class.

Ok. Im going to comment before I read others posts. Good for her! Im tired of kids with no parental supervision. Extreme profanity at airline staff and law enforcement as well as at the unsupervised will show them some manners!
