A GLANCE AT THE all-important CONFERENCE RECORDS, IN THE EVENT OF A 9-7 “TIE” for the AFC wildcard. Jacksonville is clearly in 3rd place for the AFC wildcard.

(NOTE: at 10-6, BALT OR DENVER IS IN.
And at 8-8, ONLY JAX HAS A REASONABLE CHANCE OF THE PLAYOFFS.)

NYJ eliminated with Loss. (Loss will allow DEN to clinch SOV over NYJ at 8-8.)
One of BALT-PITT-MIA would finish ahead of 8-8 NYJ because of games between those 3.

Aloit of information. My brain hurts.

So for the Ravens it looks like a win over Pitt puts them in.

However, a loss, would require a Miami loss to win the tie breakers...

yea, we are probably failing in our attempt to keep it simple.
Point is JAX has tiebreaker over everyone (except 2-way with MIA).
BALT is behind MIA in the tiebreaker. So they need to beat out MIAMI outright. Cannot tie MIA at 9-7.

DEN and BALT are not very strong in tiebreakers ... they need to keep their one-game lead. PITT and especially TENN are in rough shape on tiebreakers. They really need to jump over a lot of teams.
