I knew a similar young lady who did the same thing. In addition to having more children just to get the bigger check, she was also eligible for “free” daycare for the kids. SO, not only did we pay for her to have them, feed them, and house them; but also paid for someone else to watch them so she could sit on her porch and smoke all day.

Thank GOD for child support collection - deadbeat dads are forced to support their OWN children. And it's about damn time...

I’m tired of...

I interview people applying for assistance from a local food/clothing bank. As part of the routine I have to ask if they are employed. 99.9% are not. And they say, “no”. My favs, though, are those poor souls who say, with an air of haughtiness, “I get a government check”.

THAT’S what I’m tried of. The whole entitlement mentality.

That works well until the Dad wises up and drops out of sight. The deadbeat Dads usually go to a different part of the country. Eventually, their whereabouts can be traced via their SSN, assuming they get a job with a real paycheck. Lots of times they'll just work for cash.

If they are traced via SSN, getting the authorities on the other end to do anything meaningful is very difficult. They have many more important local priorities.

Some losers will choose to run and hide - work low level jobs for cash - they'd rather disgrace themselves than support their children.

Shame on them.

I'm happy to contribute tax money to help the women and children or those men. But I'm even happier to support systems that go after these irresponsible men. And unlike you, I feel they do a good job catching the deadbeats.
