Thank you Urban, there’s more to life than football, and he made the right choice.

I think it boiled down to realizing that after winning two championships, and knowing from that point on the bar had been set so high, that after the Bama loss and knowing that a 13-1 season would still be considered a disappointment, and with the health scare, that it wasn’t worth the risk to his health. He’s climbed the mountain, I think he’ll continue in some capacity in football, but I don’t see him coaching again.

With the news that Urban has been in and out of hospital multiple times since Dec. 5th, I’m taking UM at his word with the hope that he can be in good health and enjoy his family.
I wouldn’t be suprised if you see him in front of a network camera with a mic in his right hand.

Possible candidates, there are many. I’m going outside the box on this, that is till you see the name and it won’t be as far fetched as it seems......

Terry Bowden. Name recognition stays in Fla. And has the SEC background in place. Another interesting possibility is from the NFL, and I’m not talking current/former head coaches either. How about Jason Garrett. I don’t think Jerry will have a problem losing him to a college program. Makes sense considering he has free rein over the ‘boys offense anyway.....
