It is a sweet rifle! I’ve run a magazine through one (don’t own one - yet) and it was amazing. Trigger is as good as any normal configuration, not at ALL like a bullpup. And the forward ejection worked very well...
Reviews are coming in highly favorably for that rifle, and I think in another year we’ll see that it is - yet again - another great Kel Tec design. I really wish they’d offer it in 5.56mm! But as-is, it’s a beast of weapon, very fast to swing (90% of the weight is between your shoulder and trigger finger), and VERY compact.
Hell's bells, honey, do like the rest of us and order a a LIFE saber. We can't spell either, and so the Star Wars people give us a discount.
What is to keep the spent casing from sliding backwards into the ejection mechanism?
If you plan to set up a defensive perimeter, and pick off trespassers at 50 meters or more (BTW, this may be illegal), get your AR-15.
If you plan to wait until they breach your door or window, buy a self defense shotgun with a larger capacity magazine such as a Mossberg 500. Load it with 00 buck shot.
Basically, it comes down the range of your intended shots.
There’s some sort of internal block that is overcome when the next spent cartridge is pushed forward. I fired 3 rounds and held it completely vertical, trying to induce that kind of a failure - not a problem.
Yes, but a 2-3/4" 12 gauge round of 00 buck typically contains 8 pellets of .33 caliber each. Also, some shotguns have a larger capacity than 5 rounds. For example, my fully loaded Mossberg 500 can discharge 64 pellets without reloading.
And the surpus ammo is cheap!
A rife? Do you mean a wife?
Don’t feeling like a drive down to Ohio to get them. They ain’t legal in Detroit, LOL!!! (Also he also most blew off a finger when I was 7 years old, trying to teach us not to use fircrackers.)
BTW, not like any of my Dad’s .22’s rounds will hurt anyone, not too many people around.
I still don’t condone shooting fire arms in the air ala gangbangers.
It you must, use 12 ga bird shot.
My favorite round currently, due to ballistics/price
ROFL! Very well done.
Always a Joker, even with Your Picks...
WHAT?
You are Kiddin’ Right...?
Get one chambered for 5.56 vice .223, there is a difference. Although the rounds are externally the same, the 5.56mm is a hotter round which might cause a rifle chambered for .223 to fail. This is something to consider if civilan sources dry up and all thats left are military spec rounds.
That’s Absurd!
Ain’t NEVER Heard That Before.....
My 5.56 High Standard eats both.
It does not care.
Getting a rife is a fine idea. I’m currently thinking of getting a .22 rife just to learn how to handle rifes, then I’ll work my way up to something that’s good for both hunting and home defense, maybe an AR-51 rife.
A “street sweeper” (semi-auto shotgun) would be kinda cool, too.
I think I concur with most on here with one exception. You do need a 12 gauge shotgun with 00 buck. My suggestion as to the weapon is also my choice. I have a Saiga 12 semi auto shotgun.
she needs to check on recoil if that’s the gun she chooses. not sure how much recoil a 410 like that has.
Those are made in Nevada, right?
