"...James Cameron himself hasn't been shy in publicly proclaiming the fact that he's an environmental activist who believes that humans and "industrial society" are "causing a global climate change" and "destroying species faster than we can classify them..."

This the same James Cameron who used how many supercomputers consuming how many kilowatts of power operated by how many animators driving how many cars to work in studios consuming how much heating, lighting, and cooling power to create a movie that was shown in how many theaters consuming how much power attended by how many people that drove how many cars to see said movie?

Oh, and I assume he'll be driven in a limo to accept his awards...

I saw the film and was blown away by the 3-D technology. This is the future of filmmaking. After seeing this film, every other 'regular' film on the big screen will seem ordinary.

That said, the anti-US and anti-Marine message of the film made me want to puke. The other people with me were unhappy with it also. It was definitely an anti-US soldier message, that the US Marines were gung-ho killers.

BTW, the entire army of nasties were all Caucasian except for a brief shot of one Afro-American and that came late in the killing spree. That always annoys me, esp. when the three major 'good guys' who join our hero in the fight are one each: Black, Hispanic and Caucasian.
