Grandpa would not be one whit surprised at what is going on now. In fact he could probably name names and give dates that would surprise you. My father was in the thick of the Paul Powell Otto Kerner regimes and I grew up in the Rotunda in Springfield and at the St, Nicholas hotel so I knew from age 10 what went on in Illinois politics so did Grandpa I’m sure.
