At the end of "Opening Bell" on FBN, anchor and VP of Business News Alexis Glick announced it would be her last broadcast on the network.
"I want you guys to know that today will be my last day here at the Fox Business Network," she said. "How many people can say that they've had the opportunity to help build a brand new network. Being the first new employee of FBN. Seeing it grow today to over 300 extraordinarily talented people. It's been an experience of a lifetime."
"I'm about to embark on a new venture that's going to allow me to utilize the skills I've learned at Fox Business, Morgan Stanley and the 'Today show,'" she continued. "I can't give any details yet, but suffice it to say that I'm extremely excited about taking on another interesting and unique project."
Shortly after stepping off the air, she tweeted:
I am about to embark on a new venture. Can't give any details :), but I can say that am extremely excited. Thank you all for your support! Glick had been with the network since 2006 and had been one of the most visible personalities. Previously she had been an anchor on the NBC "Today" show's third hour. In addition to "Opening Bell," Glick was formerly the anchor of the preceding "Money for Breakfast," which was ended with the addition of Don Imus to the FBN lineup.
Glick was joined on-screen for a final goodbye by some of her "Opening Bell" colleagues, including Charles Payne, with whom she shared an emotional moment.
Neal is no liberal and his work is very appropriate for FBN!
I like him!
Eye candy yes, but way too affectatious to take seriously- and that’s a sure sign of her lib-ness.
I found her to be extremely annoying!
No one was better at talking for 5 minutes and saying nothing.
She has the awful habit of asking a question and then answering it herself.
thats slick shtick
I’m assuming there’s a video from the office Christmas party.
Yes, and he does favor a few Repubs; he also is not rude to Repubs when guesting as most Lefties are rude. Geraldo's misjudgments blow me away; but still. have always found him personable and yes, likeable despite his tunnel vision. Fox could do a whole lot worse, filling balance. Most are so totally obnoxious/unbearable and so; unwatchable...but guess this in in 'eye of the beholder'.
Whatever; Geraldo, compared to most Lefties, is almost a 'gift' - of sorts'/lol/sigh.
Thought Alan Colmes at least a 'well-intentioned' Leftie; as I thinkj Geraldo is; but even Alan's saving grace was not enough to make me sad re his departure. Thought it patehtic that he could be exposed to so much 'truth'; and NEVER GET IT. . .
As bad as Geraldo's conclusions; Alan much worse per his conclusions.
Bottom line; not much in the box to choose from, really; when it comes to providing 'balance'.
This doesn’t belong in the announcements sidebar, either.
