"I think he probably gave you a stream of consciousness from the best of his recollection, wouldn't you say? Yeah," Childress said. "The great thing about telling the truth is you can tell it over and over again."

Childress seems to love to use that phrase, "stream of consciousness." I think I'd throw up if I had a coach that kept saying that type of thing.

All is not well in Vikingland. We told you guys....

This is so delicious. I am a Green Bay fan and a Brett Favre fan. I have the best of both worlds now - I can root for the Packers and I can enjoy watching Brett Favre in action. I say “enjoy” now, because he is someone else’s problem. His whining and pouting and sulking behaviors are now someone else’s problem. I will be experiencing schadenfreude in the post season when Favre puts the Vikings’ staff and the fans through his annual retirement angst.

All Jackson did last year was prove that the Vikings could go a year without a quarterback. Farve just had to be serviceable and he would be better than Jackson. That being said, despite the team’s record, Childress is still one of the worst coaches in the NFL.

I am really sick of reading about Bret Favre's many issues off the field. One observation though.

When Favre was with Green Bay he was never known as a prima donna and developed a reputation for being one of the greatest QBs of all time.

After Favre officially retired from Green Bay it has been one drama after another. Maybe Mike McCarthy deserves some credit for dealing with Bret and resolving their issues in private. Favre is still a great QB, but the Vikings are a very good team without him. They made the playoffs last year with a really terrible QB. It will be interesting to see if the Vikings have a late season collapse like the Jets did last year.

Peterson’s not helping very much. 35 yards rushing last game?

No sympathy. Chilress wanted him, forced the rest of us t suffer another year of the prima donna, now he gets the headache that comes with him.

Hey, it takes hard work to keep this going

The Vikings were the very last NFL World Champions, before the Contamination happened.

This is my take. Brad Childress is an idiot. Pure and simple - an idiot. He considered benching Brett Favre in this game and several other games? Are you frickin’ kidding me? It is because of Brett Favre that we are having such a great season. He’s going to come try to tell a 19-year veteran QB that he can’t call an audible or make adjustments on the field because he sees something in the defense? This, coming from the same idiot coach that though Tavaris Jackson was the future of the team??? Tavaris Jackson???

I trust Brett Favre’s instincts and I trust him to lead the team. Maybe Childress should go to the O-line and launch into them with a profanity-laden tirade because it is THEIR fault that we’ve not been able to run the ball and that Brett has been getting pummeled every game.

ALL NFL, MLB and NBA “players” are P*SSYS. If you want to see what a real man/player looks like look at these:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Staubach
BOTH served thier country and went on to steller careers.
