The scenery here is gorgeous, there is lots to do and if you don’t mind rain for months the climate is nice, but the hard-Left ‘culture’, a steady coarsening of the ‘friendliness quotient’, the exploding population, high costs and the increasing crime levels have definitely made the place far less hospitable than it used to be.

“sigh”

I’ll always place in my heart for Western Washington. I have lots of great memories. Nice summers (rarely humid), water, trees, mountains, Blue Angels, the Puyallup Fair, shopping at the base (dad was military), fishing, and even the crazy windstorms. Those were some of the good things. It was sad for me to leave, but it was becoming less and less acceptable to me and my wallet. My mom/dad still live there. They have a nice home by the bay and I love visiting.
