He served under Reagan, was Ass’t Attorney General and then became U.S. Attorney assigned to clean up Wall Street—which he did. His closest friend in the Justice Department was Ted Olsen—who vouches for Rudy as a strict constructionist. He’s a strong fiscal and law-and-order and pro-military conservative. It’s true he’s not pure enough for some—for the social conservatives especially who don’t understand the dilemma for a big city politician. The bottom line was it would have been impossible for Rudy to have run for Mayor of NYC had he not been pro-choice—though his sympathies did not lie with pro-abortionists. Under his administration he was proactive in lowering the abortion rate and increasing the rate of adoptions—and did so dramatically.

And got DEMOTED.

His closest friend in the Justice Department was Ted Olsen—who vouches for Rudy as a strict constructionist.

Olsen is almost as big a liberal as Rooty.

He’s a strong fiscal and law-and-order and pro-military conservative.

False.

It’s true he’s not pure enough for some—for the social conservatives especially who don’t understand the dilemma for a big city politician.

He's a pure LIBERAL.

The bottom line was it would have been impossible for Rudy to have run for Mayor of NYC had he not been pro-choice—though his sympathies did not lie with pro-abortionists.

False.

Under his administration he was proactive in lowering the abortion rate and increasing the rate of adoptions—and did so dramatically.

False. Adoption rates rose nationwide due to an increase in Chinese and eastern European adoptions.

What a load of hooey! You're on the wrong forum pushing that crap, newbie. FRee Republic is a social and fiscal conservative website --- pro-God, pro-life, pro-family.

Reagan didn't hire Giuliani, Ed Meese did. Rooty repaid Meese by calling him "a sleaze" and unqualified to be USAG. And Ted Olsen lost a lot credibility around here when he came out for Rooty.

>>>>>He’s a strong fiscal and law-and-order and pro-military conservative.

Rooty is a big government liberal, aka. a Rockefeller Republican. Crime came down under Mayor Bloomberg too and Joe Lieberman is strong on national defense. Neither Bloomberg or Lieberman are conservatives and neither is Giuliani.

>>>>>[Giuliani's] sympathies did not lie with pro-abortionists. Under his administration he was proactive in lowering the abortion rate and increasing the rate of adoptions—and did so dramatically.

LMAO!

"Thank you very much for inviting me to say a few words of welcome. This event shows that people of different political parties and different political thinking can unite in support of choice. In doing so, we are upholding a distinguished tradition that began in our city starting with the work of Margaret Sanger and the movement for reproductive freedom that began in the early decades of the 20th century."

Archives of Rudolph W. Giuliani, 107th Mayor of NYC

NYC was the abortion capital of America before Giuliani was Mayor and it remained so after he left office.
