Maybe I am a bit prejudice because she seems to be a bit odd, but it just seems to be somewhat of a gimmick.

Her priest said she was “damaged” by lack of oxygen during her birth and that since her mother’s death the church sort of looks out for her.
She is odd, but it’s genuine due to her brain injury.
