I agree; The Lives of Others is one of the best movies ever, foreign-language or otherwise.

I second your motion, on both counts. Lives of Others was phenomenal. I saw Moliere (made in 2006 or 2007) a few months ago. It didn’t receive the critical acclaim - probably because it’s a comedy/drama. But, it was quite entertaining, as is anything that starring Laura Morante.

Just saw “The Lives of Others” recently. This film was made when other “Ostalgie” (nostalgia for the old DDR) films were being made. This was called the “Anti-ostalgiekino)
