Wrong approach. Ignore Nelson—he's not changing his vote again. Instead, go after your own state's senators and say, "Nebraska's senator held out to get the Federal government to pay his state's Medicare costs. Are you doing anything for your state, or are you rolling over and giving Reid what he wants for free?"

The Dems could have had a simple vote weeks ago - 60 Ayes, Motion Carried. The WHOLE drama here has centered about getting payoffs for holding out.

Nelson is just a better poker player than the average Senator. Mary Landrieu decided to call when she saw the color of their money a couple of weeks ago.

Forget Nelson. His vote was never in doubt, only the concessions were.

Ask YOUR Senator what he’s getting for YOUR state!

Heck, I live in IL and Rollie Burris said he wouldn’t vote for it unless he could bring a public option back to his constituents. So, that’s his price - now we’ll see if he gets it, or if he folds under pressure (which I expect).
