Beck's on Leno tonight! Watching now!
Jay’s mis-informed about Obama, Obama wasn’t poor and his mother didn’t pass away when Obama was young.
Jay didn’t read the globull warming e-mails either.
Awesome conversation about energy there.
Jay said he has solar to get him off the grid and po big oil.
Glenn corrected Jay on that saying that Obama is “Harvard” and they look down on everyone...but don’t tell me...
...because I’m not Harvard...I don’t (understand the money the govt is spending and that it’s unsubtainable)
Oh he’s earning his plug by giving grandma’s recipe out!!!
Not as much substance as when Rush was on Jay.
Did Beck get less time? It seems like it.
The cookie thing was fun...but I thought it would be much better when Jay started with “when you were coming on, half the people cheered me and half the people wanted to punch me.”
Glenn did great and Jay was kind with his comments. Jay is not a Letterman type interviewer.
Jay is a middle of the road guy compared to the idiot Letterman.
Agreed.
He did say at the beginning that people wanted to strangle him for having Beck on the show.
When did we become so scared of ideas?
I mean, scared to the point of rage?
No kidding. Obama was spent his teenage years on the "mean streets" of Honolulu, where his custodial parent was a VP of a bank. He was well into his thirties when his mother died, unless of course he's lying about that too in his autobiographies.
When we went from this guy...
..to this guy...
Seriously, when I was a kid, throughout my adolescence and into college, we used to have reasoned, intellectual people talking to each other in reasoned and respectful debate. Now, we've got nothing but wise-ass vitriol (from both sides) and sarcasm. It doesn't bode well for the future, IMHO.
I've maintained that he should've held out for the "Meet the Press" slot.
Oh, you know..amen on that.
I went to an international school...the drinking age in Europe is 16...it’s not to say that we overdid it.
But we had all kinds of kids. And we discussed everything...GEOpolitical...political, religious.
No one ever got their nose so out of joint that they didn’t want to be friends anymore. We were all different..but I guess we were young enough that we listened to each other.
Seems odd to say...young people listening to each other.
Nowadays it’s ALL “talking points”...no individual thought
Glenn did a great job saying what he came to say, and keeping Jay on course. It bugs me that they announced Glenn as controversial and polarizing. He’s a truth teller. People who reject truth are the polarizers, IMHO. At least Glenn spoke to the point.
It also bugs me when a comedian suddenly turns to ever-so-serious political analyst. Come ON! That is never done for non-conservative political figures or liberal commentators.
Beck said he would vote for Hillary over McCain. Hillary is as bad as Obama. If he could vote for Hillary, then how can he lambast Obama for believing and doing basically the same things?
Do you really think Hillary would be worse than Obama?
It seems to me that Hillary and McCain....well, they might have been pretty similar...who knows?
I’m sick of big government. I’m sick of spend spend spend...grow grow grow...government.
McCain is no conservative.
