It drove really well, but I always thought the Alfa Romeo Milano was a bit homely...

Businessweek doesn’t seem to much about cars but you would think they would recognize the sales record some of these cars have.

Some of these ARE pretty ugly (the Fiat Multipla makes the Powell Homer look like a Raymond Loewy effort), while others don't strike me as worse than just dull (Taurus... Sable.. my eyes are getting heavy... z-z-z-z-z...), in need of a slight makeover (the Plymouth Prowler needed a tolerable front bumper and more horsepower), or too arcane to be included (the VW Thing was a kubelwagen, for crying out loud).

A few of them (like the Lightburn Zeta or Tata Nano) are so utili-homely that they'd be sort of cool if someone with time and money to burn was willing to do pro street versions.

Any list like this has to be a bit difficult and there are some really ugly ones in here but also a few which I think are quite attractive.

The Delorean, Ferrari, Mercury Sable, and several others are not even slightly ugly.

The forgot the wagon queen family truckster.

Ugliest car in history. Even uglier in person than in the photo.

Could have had a few more Citroens, and retired the trophy. *gack* for about thirty years.

Was the Lamborghini LM002 supposed to be the challenge to the Hummer?

Half of these are perfectly decent looking cars. I really don’t think too many people’s aesthetic sensibilities are offended by a BMW 7 Series.

The Delorean

No wonder the song with the lyrics “And the Devil sat in the passenger seat of Delorean’s automobile”.

The Chevy 400(?) I half expect to see Roger Rabbit climb out.
