It is a fantasy to pretend that Elin and Tiger contribued equally to the marriage in respect of acquiring marital assets. The 50/50 rule is bad law in the case of one spouse with a vastly greater role in acquiring the marital assets.

Marriage is a partnership—don’t you get that?

Marriage is not just the sum of it's accrued assets the law does not care about the acquiring of the assets when it divides them, nor should it. It's about the equal contribution to the marriage, which is a unique institution with it's own history that predates both law and governments that make laws.

The law wisely chooses to not quantify the non-monetary value a wife brings to the marriage, it absolutely does not want to get into the business of putting a value on getting and bringing forth of legitimate children.
