He was someone that I had held in high regard and now find him totally offensive and disgraceful.

Why would you hero worship a complete stranger? And then transfer your hero worship from him to his wife? I have no interest in golf and have heard Woods is a phenom. That's all I know about him. What I know about his wife is that she's a swimwear model who met and married him after he had gained fame and fortune. To say that it's a great burden to be associated with fame and fortune and to live a luxurious life (complete with servants waiting on her hand and foot) that most can only dream of is preposterous.

I don’t recall saying that I had a hero worship for Tiger Woods. I just had high regard for him. That is not the same. I do not recall saying I have hero worship for his wife. I just support her as she digs herself out of this mess. Just because she happens to be a beautiful woman and just happened to have her beauty displayed by modeling does not automatically put her in a position of only marrying someone for their fame or fortune. What? She should only be allowed to marry someone less wealthy or less famous because she has beauty? I don’t recall saying anything that would intimate she had “a great burden to be associated with fame and fortune and to live a luxurious life”. I am supportive of her (and any woman or man, for that matter) who is exposed to this public ridicule and scandal. I wish her well and I hope she does well....and I hope his “you know” falls off!

Mrs. Woods did some part-time modeling, small time stuff when she was 20. Then she became a nanny. Calling her a former model is a bit like calling Reagan a former actor.

It was something she did, not who she is. The reality is she was a nice young woman who was model pretty, but chose not to be one.
