I guess I need to do some research on this subject.

It is normally the last option on the screen after you enter your pin number when using a debit card. It simply asks if you want cash back and then gives you the option of the amount you want. When this happened to me, I think I was using my credit card instead of my debit card. I’ve never noticed a cash back option with a credit card.
