The only 2 things that have come on from a cold boot are the power lights on the tower case and the monitor.

It’s an old system. It must have heard me planning on replacing it early next year after harvesting files.

Could be just it's time to go. 9-10 years is a long time for a PC, and other than to recover data, not worth a whole lot of effort to fix.

But I'm not convinced the virus is the cause of your FTB. A virus can't very well do it's work on a computer that won't run.
